Water, in its appearance of solidity, is more a vessel than an object, holding fish, plants, dragonfly nymphs.  The water at the lake is absorbent, taking into itself all that is not essential within me and leaving only solitude and  joy.  These water lilies are abundant, their yellow flowers fragrant.  Cow Lily or Bullhead Lily.  Their rippled edges help them to withstand waves and wind.  They hold heart shaped water at their centers.  So beautiful.  Come see this painting in person at
The Community House in Kennebunkport on Friday evening
from 5-7 and throughout the weekend, July 20-22, 2012.

I recently sold my Timber Point Mussels painting to another artist/designer.  How wonderful.
On July 20-22 I will be in another show of the Art Guild of the Kennebunks at the Community
House in Kennebunkport.  The opening reception is from 5-7 on Friday July 20.  Please join
me there.  My latest work is inspired by Estes Lake and the loons we hear at night.
